We were in Bangkok only for a day so wanted to do an introductory tour.
Our guide was Dew. Guide Dew was awesome. She was very knowledgeable and took us to all the touristy and some of the non-touristy part of the city. The lack of tourists in some of these amazing spots showed her in depth knowledge of Bangkok. We started with the grand palace, then went on a boat ride followed by all the main temples (wat Arun, reclining Budha, golden Buddha etc). We then went to the flower market, china town and a few other spots. In between she took us to some cool food and Thai tea spots as well. Day started at 9.30 at our hotel lobby and we came back at 5.
It was fun walking around plus traveling in public transportation, which is the best way to get around Bangkok. This is the most efficient way to see the city if you’re here for a short time. Having a local guide to navigate and explain all the city’s history makes the overall experience a lot more fulfilling.
Carry a decent amount of cash with you, there is a lot of entrance fees and ferry rides you need to take care of if you plan to cover a lot.
